Library Board Meeting

This meeting is being held by videoconference in accordance with Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' recommendation designed to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Library Hours Have Changed



As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, MacDonald Public Library's hours have changed. We apperciate your pateince and understanding. Our current hours are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 
– 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday 
– 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday 
– CLOSED

Curbside Service  is also available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To utilize this service, please call ahead to make a request or schedule a pick-up at (586) 725-0273, extension 2.

 


Masks Remain Required for Entry



Effective October 5th, 2020


Please note that MPL policies have not changed as of Monday, October 5th. Masks or appropriate facial coverings remain REQUIRED to enter the building, per the recommendation of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Regarding Our Reopening
 
MacDonald Public Library is happy to announce that we have entered the next phase of services as of Monday, September 14th. For your safety and ours, MPL will continue to adhere to all safety regulations and reasonable precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

When entering our building, we require ALL patrons to wear a mask that covers both mouth and nose, practice appropriate social distancing, and keep visits limited to ONE HOUR OR LESS.
 
As of September 14th, all main areas of the library will be open to the public, with the exception of community rooms and study rooms. These rooms will remain closed through January 2021. A limited number of internet computers will be available for adults, teens, and children – with a usage time of ONE HOUR PER DAY, PER USER. Computers will be cleaned between uses by library staff.
 
Curbside service for requests and holds is also available by calling (586) 725-0273, extension 2. Our bookdrop remains open 24/7 for returns. Donations cannot be accommodated at this time and will not be accepted.
